April 10: A NEWSTART Northeast Washington Recreation and Tourism Vision Workshop was held at the Chewelah Civic Center, Chewelah, WA
The workshop featured information sharing, dialogue, and other activities to enhance understanding of local recreation and tourism trends, needs, and opportunities. Participants developed themes, discussed opportunities, and defined roles locals can play in the delivery of a recreation and tourism vision. By working together on a common vision, communities in northeast Washington are combining efforts to maximize benefits from recreation and tourism.
This workshop was sponsored by the Northeast Washington Sustainable Tourism and Recreation Team (NEWSTART), partnering with Horizon communities, with representatives from Ferry, Pend Oreille and Stevens County.
